He was living in Windsor ON at the time of his recruitment. H ewas a medical doctor. He served as Professor Emeritus - Medicine - University of Ottawa.

He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1954. He served in HMCS York for UNTD 1954. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R). He was appointed as a Surgeon Lieutenant RCN(R). (He was released.)
