Biography
After his naval service he was General Manager for Simpson's in Nova Scotia, retiring in 1978.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a AC 2/c (Pilot Candidate) RAFVR (With seniority dated 01/07/1941). He served in RAF Swinderby for ITW 1941. He served in RAF Sywell for Pre-Flight Training 1941. He served in RAF Assiniboia for #34 Elementary Flying Training School, RAF Medicine Hat for #34 Service Flying Training school. He was Awarded Wings 01/09/1942. (CFR). Pilot Officer RAFVR 01/09/1942. He served in RCAF Trenton for #1 Flying Instructor School 1942, RAFKingston for #31 Service Flying Training School as Flying Instructor 1942. He served in RCAF Greenwood for #8 OTU for Conversion to Mosquito 1944, #60 OTU 1944, #13 OTU 1944, RAF Melton Mowbray for #12 Ferry Unit 1944, RAF Madras India for #84 RAF Squadron 1945, RAF UK as Flying Instructor 1946, Demobilized 01/07/1946, (Transferred to RCNR 01/06/1953). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) 17/06/1953. He served in HMCS York for VC-920 Reserve Squadron 1953. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (P) RCN(R). He served in HMCS York for VC-920 Reserve Squadron as Commanding Officer 1955. (He was retired 01/07/1957.
