Biography
He was born in what is now eastern Canada of Irish parents. (He was qualified as a Master Mariner). He served in the yacht Leviathan as Master and in the Emily Harris. On 10/03/1859 he was qualified as British columbia's first officially licenced pilot (Fraser River).
