He was living in St. Andrews NB at the time of his recruitment into the navy.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1959. In 1959 he served in HMCS Scotian for UNTD. (He was released.) (Transferred to RCN). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1963). He served in HMCS Sussexvale. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 27/10/1966). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander. He was appointed as a Commander. He served in NDHQ as Staff Officer Operations and Maintenance (Procurement and Supply) 1986. (He was released.)
