After is naval service he graduated from UBC in Medicine in 1955. He worked as a General Practitioner in Chase BC 1956-62 and as a Specialist in Anesthesia 1964. (He was retired in 1987.) |

He was appointed as a Boy Seaman RN 1936. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent 1936. He served in H.M.S. Royal Sovereign 1937. He served in H.M.S. Revenge 1937. He served in H.M.S. Neptune 1937. He served in H.M.S. Maidstone 1939. He served in H.M.S. Ark Royal 1940. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent as Officer Candidate. (CFR 1941). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RN 01/01/1941. He served in H.M.S. Blencathra 1941. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (O) RN. He served in RNAS Eastleigh for FAA Observer's Course 1942. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (O) RN, (He was present at Operation Jubilee (the Dieppe Raid).) H.M.S. Albighton as Navigating Officer 1942. He served in H.M.S. Arbiter for 853 RN Squadron 1944. He served in H.M.S. Tracker for 853 RN Squadron 1944. He served in H.M.S. Tracker as Senior Observer 1944. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (O) RN. He served in H.M.S. Queen for 853 RN Squadron as Senior Observer 1944. (He was invalided in 1947.) |
