Military Service

He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. In 1941 he served in RCN Barracks Halifax for Training. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/05/1943) (Later backdated to 1942). In 1944 he served in HMCS Stadacona. He served in HMC LCI (L) 255 (In command) in 264th Canadian LCI Flotilla for Operation Neptune 1944. (He was demobilized as medically unfit 07/12/1944.)
