(On August 27, 1957 Julian George Freeman was killed in a runway collision at HMCS Shearwater. Three Avengers taxied into position for take off at Shearwater when a Banshee flown by Lt (USN) Ed Tryeinski landed on top of Julian’s Avenger killing both pilots.)
