Dr Tuisku (North) taught Mechanical Engineering at Lakehead University also was Chairman of Bluemarble Institute.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1951. In 1951 he served in HMCS Griffon for UNTD. (Transferred to RCAF) In 1953 he served as a Flight Cadet Queen’s University Reserve Training Plan. In 1953 he served at the Royal Military College of Canada for basic training. In 1953 he was appointed as a Pilot Officer RCAF (Reserve). In 1953 he served at RCAF Station Trenton - # 1 Flying Instruction School. (Transferred to RCN(R)). He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (Air) (UNTD) RCN(R) 1954. In 1954 he served at RCAF Station Claresholm - # 3 Flying Instruction School. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 26/09/1954). He served in HMCS Cataraqui for VC-921 Reserve Squadron as Pilot 1954. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) RCN(R). He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/05/1956). In 1956 he served in VC 921 Squadron. In 1956 he served in HMCS Shearwater for VT 40 Squadron. In 1958 he served in HMCS Shearwater for VT 40 Squadron. (He was released.)
