He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (SB) RCN(R). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (SB) (RCN(R)). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (SB) RCN(R) (With seniority dated27/05/1955). He was appointed as a Commander (SB) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/01/1961). He was appointed as a Captain (SB) RCN(R) 1966. He was appointed as an AdC. He served in HMCS York as Commanding Officer 1966-1971. (He was released.)
