Biography
(He was qualified as a Master Mariner (Foreign Going) #2848). He was the owner (32/64 shares) of the schooner W.P. Sayward based in Victoria BC. In 1879 he was appointed as a Marine Pilot in the Nanaimo District. In 1889 he served in the Yale-New Westminster Pilotage District. He served in the Barnard Castle as Master. He served in the Lorne and Athe Alexander as Master.
