Military Service
He was appointed as a AC 2/c RCAF (With seniority dated 29/12/1942). He served in Flying Training. (He was Awarded Wings.) (CFR). He was appointed as a Pilot Officer RCAF. He was appointed as a Flying Officer RCAF, (Transferred to RNVR). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 05/11/1945). (He was demobilized.) (Short Service Appointment commencing 30/04/1947). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 05/11/1945). He served in HMCS Magnificent 1948. (Selected for permanent commission). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (P) RCN (With seniority dated 05/11/1953). He served in NHQ as Deputy Director (Air) of Naval Gunnery 1954. He was attached to the Central Experimental and Proving Establishment and was returning from the Naval Testing Detachment at Fort Churchill MB at the time of his death. (On March 02, 1957 he was killed in the mid-air explosion of a B-25 Mitchell bomber.)
