Biography
He retired from the Royal Canadian Navy after ten years of service and subsequently worked as a civilian for the Department of National Defence.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 27/04/1951). He served in Royal Roads Military College (HMCS Malahat) under UNTD Plan 1951-1952. (Transferred to RCN 01/09/1952). He was appointed as a Midshipman RCN(R) (With seniority dated 09/1952). In 1952 he served in HMCS Ontario for Sea Training. In 1953 he served in HMCS Beacon Hill for Sea Training. In 1953 he served in HMCS Magnificent. He was appointed as a A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 02/01/1954). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/1955) (Transferred to RCN). He was appointed as an Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/1955). He served in HMCS Niobe for General Education and Warfare Course Royal Naval College Greenwich 1954. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 02/07/1956). He served in HMCS Miramichi 1958. In 1963 he served in HMCS Inch Arran. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN 1964. In 1964 he served in HMCS Provider. (He was retired 20/02/1965).
