Anecdotes
He was shot down and killed in action on 04/05/1916. On 4 May 1916, flying a Caudron GIV bomber with 5 Wing, he was attacked by a Fokker E1. Unable to escape its synchronized machine gun he crashed near Middelkerke and died a week later.
