He was living in Nelson BC at the time of his recruitment.

 

Military Service
He served as a Sergeant Technician in the Royal Canadian Dental Corps. (Transferred to RCN(R)) He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCN(R) 1947. He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1948. In 1947-1950 he served in HMCS Scotian for UNTD. In 1950 he served in HMCS Stadacona as Cadet Captain. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) 1950. (He was released.)
