A long time resident of Mississauga, he was inducted into that City's Sports Hall of Fame for 1981. He was inducted into the U of T Sports Hall of Fame in 2012. He was in "civilian" life a teacher, and coach of many high school teams. He retired in 1988 as Superintendant of Schools for Halton Region. |

Bill Clearihue reports that "He graduated from U of T in the Spring of 1948, having played for the Varsity Blues (also dabbling in basketball, baseball, hockey and lacrosse). He played for the Toronto Argonauts in 4 successive seasons (1949 - 1952) including their 1950 Grey Cup win (the Mud Bowl), in which he was the game MVP, and their 1952 win. " |
