Biography
He emigrated to Canada after his naval service. He joined Transport Canada to develop hovercraft regulations. (He was retired 1995.)
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Officer Cadet RN (With seniority dated 01/01/1945). He served in the Royal Naval College Dartmouth 1948. He served in H.M.S. Devonshire for Training 1949. He was appointed as a Midshipman (E) RN 1949. He served in H.M.S. Unicorn for Training 1949. He served in the RN Engineering College for Basic Engineering Course 1950. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (E) RN 1952. He served in H.M.S. Unicorn 1952. He served in the Royal Naval Engineering College for course 1953. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (E) (A/E) RN. He served in RNAS Ford as Air Engineering Officer in 700 RN Squadron 1954, RAF Cranfield for Post Graduate Course 1956. He served in RNAS Yeovilton 1958. He served in RNAS Abbotsinch 1959. He served in the Ministry of Aviation as Development Project Officer 1959. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (E) (A/E) RN (With seniority dated 10/1961). He served in HMS President 1962. (He served On Exchange With RCN 1964). He served in HMCS Shearwater as Engineering Services Officer 1962. (He was returned to the RN for service). He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent as Trials Engineer Hovercraft Trials Unit 1964. He served in the Ministry of Technology as Development Project Manager 1966. (He resigned 1968.)
