Biography
After his naval service he was Executive Officer Faculty of Science York University Toronto ON 1969. He worked with Hermes Electronics Ltd. Dartrmouth NS as Manager Engineering 1971, and the Nova Scotia Department of Development Halifax as Special Projects Officer and Industrial Development Officer 1972. He worked in the Canadian Forces Fleet School as Electrical Engineer in Electrical Division as Electronics Systems Engineering instructor 1978, and at HMC Dockyard as Electrical Engineer in Marine Systems Engineering Office 1979. He worked with Eyretechnics Ltd. As Manager Electrical Engineering in 1988. (He retired 1992.)
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCNVR 1944. In 1944 he served in HMCS Cataraqui for UNTD. (He was released.) (He was an RCN Direct Entry from Queens University Electrical Engineering). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/06/1946). Canadian General Electric Co. Peterborough on Electrical Engineering Test Course 1947. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/06/1946). He served in H.M.S. Ariel for RN Air Electrical School for Air Electrical Training Course 1947. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/12/1946). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1945). He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCN Air Section Dartmouth in 19th Carrier Air Group and 19th Support Air Group as Squadron Air Electrical Officer 1949). He served in NHQ on the Staff of the Electrical Engineer-in-Chief (Air) 1951. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (L) RCN 01/09/1953. He served in HMCS Shearwater as Deputy Electrical Officer 1954, Electrical Officer and Squadron Technical Officer 1956. He served in HMCS Stadacona on Staff of Flag Officer Atlantic Coast in Command technical Office as Electrical Officer 1958). He served in NHQ in Directorate of Aircraft Design and Production 1960. He served in HMCS Niagara for Duty With USN Air Development Centre Johnsville PA 1962. He served in HMCS Naden for Duty With Defence Research Establishment Pacific (DRB) 1966. (He was retired 1969. (He was qualified for air electrical engineering duties.)
