Biography
After the war he attended McMaster University where he was Chairman of the War Memorial Committee, Business Manager of the Dramatic Society and Treasurer of the Debating Society.
 
Military Service
He enlisted in Montreal, 6 December 1941 and was posted to No.1 Manning Depot. He was posted to No.9 SFTS, 31 December 1941 (guard). He was posted to No.3 ITS, 28 March 1942. He graduated and and was promoted LAC, 6 June 1942 but not posted to No.11 EFTS until 1 August 1942. He ceased training and posted to Trenton, 30 September 1942. He was posted to No.5 BGS, 20 November 1942. He graduated 5 February 1943 and posted next day to No.1 CNS; He graduated and was promoted to Sergeant, 19 March 1943. He was posted to “Y” Depot, 3 April 1943. He was posted to RAF overseas, 21 April 1943. He was promoted to Flight Sergeant, 19 August 1943. He was commissioned 11 July 1944. He was promoted to Flying Officer, 11 January 1945. He was repatriated 9 March 1945. He was posted to No.1 Air Command, 20 March 1945. (He was demobilized 23/05/1945). (Transferred to RCN(R)). He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCN(R) 1946. He served in HMCS Star for UNTD 1946-1947. (He was released.) (Transferred to RCAF Reserve). He was appointed as a Flying Officer RCAF (Reserve), (Transferred to RCN(R)). He was appointed as a Chaplain RCN(R) 1961. (Transferred to RCN through Short Service Appointment 1963). He was appointed as a Chaplain Class II (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 18/07/1963). He served in HMCS Naden as Chaplain. He served in the Fourth Canadian Escort Squadron as Chaplain (P) 1965. (He was released.) He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross "This officer has completed numerous operations against the enemy in the course of which he has invariably displayed the utmost qualities of courage, fortitude and devotion to duty."
