He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN 01/11/1943, #13 Elementary Flying Training School, #31 Service Flying Training School. He served in RNAS Hinstock for 758 RN Squadron. He served in RNAS Zeale for 760 RN Squadron. He served in RNAS Yeovilton for 759 RN Squadron. He served in RNAS Eglinton for 794 RN Squadron. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/11/1951). He served in HMCS New Liskeard (In command) 1951.
