He was living in Vancouver BC at the time of his recruitment. He graduated from UBC Law School in 1968 and practiced in Victoria before joining the Foreign Service as a Trade Commissioner. After two years in Mexico City, he moved to Ottawa to work in the Department of Justice in Tax Litigation. From there he joined the Vancouver law firm, then Lawson, Lundell where, as Senior Litigator, he had a wide and varied practice for 32 years. He was qualified as a lawyer and worked in Victoria BC. In 1993 he was Treasurer (i.e. head) of the Law Society of BC. He as Senior Legal Counsel on the Cohen Commission of Inquiry into the Decline of the Fraser River Sockeye Salmon. |

He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1960. In 1960-1962 he served in HMCS Malahat for UNTD. In 1962-1963 he served in HMCS Discovery for UNTD. He was appointed as an A/Sun-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/07/1963). (He was released 1964.) |
