Biography
He settled on Saltspring Island BC. H ewas the son-in-law of The Reverend E.H. Wilson.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet RN (With seniority dated 15/01/1886). He served at the Naval College Britannia in 18886 for training. He was appointed as a Midshipman RN (With seniority dated 15/05/1888). He served in HMS Imperieuse on the China Station 1888-91. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RN (With seniority dated 14/05/1892). He served in HMS Volage 1892. He served in HMS Champion (on the Pacific Station) 1893. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RN (With seniority dated 30/06/1894). He served in HMS Royal Arthur 1893. He served in British Columbia waters in HMS Egeria to 1903. He served in Australia in HMS Penguin 1904 on surveying service and in HMS Goldfinch (In command) 1905. He was appointed as a Commander RN (With seniority dated 31/12/1905). In 1907 he served in HMS Merlin (China Station). In 1910 he served in HMS Odin (Persian Gulf). In 1912-14 he served in HMS Shearwater. He was appointed as Commander-in-Chief for Station Duties on the West Coast of America (Pendant in H.M.S. Shearwater) 1912. (He was qualified as a Navigating Officer.) In 1914-18 he served in HMS Caribbean and HMS Victorian. He was appointed as a Captain RN and served on the Admiralty Staff 1919-21. (He was retired in 1921.)
