Biography
He attended McGill University, with degrees in English Literature and Law. He was called to the Quebec Bar in 1958, and then joined the Canadian Foreign Service the same year, serving in Denmark, where he met his bride, Norway, India, the United Nations in New York, Denmark again (Ambassador) and Iraq (Ambassador).

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 02/0/1/1953). In 1954 he served in HMCS Donnacona 1953-1954. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/05/1955). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/05/1956). He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/05/1957). (He was released 1960.)
