He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR. He served in RNAS North Front Gibraltar for 893 RN Squadron 1943. He served in RNAS Dekheila for 893 RN Squadron 1943. He served in H.M.S. Formidable for 893 RN Squadron 1943. He served in RNAS Machrihanish for 846 RN Squadron 1943. (Transferred to RCNVR 01/01/1944). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/01/1944). He served in H.M.S. Tracker for 846 RN Squadron 1944. He served in RNAS East Haven for 826 RN Squadron 1945. He served in RNAS Fearn for 826 RN Squadron 1946. (He was demobilized). (Transferred to RCN(R)). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/07/1943). He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant-Commander (P) RCN(R) 1946.
