He attended McGill University.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 14/11/1942). In 1942 he served in HMCS Kings (Officer Training Establishment) He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 22/06/1943). He undertook Flying Training. (He was Awarded Wings.) He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 22/06/1944). He served in H.M.S. Ameer. (He was demobilized 02/03/1946.)
