Military Service

He was appointed as a Wireless Telegraph Operator (3rd Class) RNCVR (With seniority dated 01/12/1917). In 1917-1918 he served in HMCS Hochelaga (Auxiliary Patrol Ship) as Wireless Telegraph Operator. (He was demobilized.) (He transferred to the RCNVR) He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCNVR (With seniority dated 07/06/1923). In 1923 he served in Hamilton Half Company RCNVR. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/04/1934). He served in the Hamilton Half Company of RCNVR as Commanding Officer 1934-1937. (He was demobilized.)
