He graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College 1948. practiced in Dundalk, Orangeville and Brampton. Retiring young, he went on to a second career and taught high school science at Albion Hills Outdoor Education Centre and Bayview Collegiate. His talk shows on CBC radio and columns in the Toronto Star were enjoyed by many pet owners. His interest in politics never waned and it took him from Peel County School Board to the Reeve of Chinguacousy Township. He was a staunch Liberal and served on many boards in Peel County. He was the last Reeve (Mayor) of Chinguacousy Township. |

He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCNVR 1943. He served in HMCS Star for UNTD (OVC) 1943-1945. (He was demobilized). (An original, from being in the first class of UNTD's in '43 from the inaugural Division in Guelph (Ontario Veterinary College)). |
