Biography
He was a rancher at the time of his recruitment into the navy.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RNCVR. He was appointed as an Able-Seaman RNCVR. He served in HMCS Niobe 1918. (He was killed on December 06, 1917 while serving in a steam pinnace from HMCS Niobe to attempt to give aid to the burning vessel Mont Blanc which subsequently exploded killing the crew of the pinnace.)
