Biography
He was living in Orillia ON when he enlisted in Toronto ON. After his naval service he carried on a career in engineering and quarrying.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/07/1940). He served in HMCS Stadacona 1940. He was appointed to H.M.S. Raleigh (Officer Training Establishment) (Mess 27 Collingwood) in 1940. He served in H.M.S. Hecla 1940. He served in H.M.S. Whaddon 1941. He served in H.M.S. King Alfred (Officer Training Establishment) 1941. (CFR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 09/04/1941). He served in Oban Scotland as Kite Balloon Officer 1941. He served in H.M.S. Buxton 1941. He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent for Training 1942. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 30/07/1942) (Later backdated to 1941). He served in the RN for Pilot Training 1942, He served in RNAS Sealand for #24 Elementary Flying Training School He served in RAF Kingston for #31 Service Flying Training School. He served in RNAS Yeovilton for Operational Flying Training. He served in H.M.S. Pursuer for 881 RN (Wildcat) Squadron 1943. He was present at the raid on the German Battleship Tirpitz 03/04/1944). He served in NSHQ on Staff of Director of Naval Air Division 1944. (He was demobilized 01/02/1945.)
