He was appointed as an AéSub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNCVR. He served in HMCS Rainbow. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RNCVR. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant RNCVR. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RNCVR (With seniority dated 03/05/1917) HMCS Shearwater II 1915. He served in HMCS Niobe For Duty at NSHQ Ottawa 1917. (He was demobilized.)
