After his naval service he was a medical student and worked in the hospital at Shearwater. He graduated from Dalhousie Medical School in 1954. He practiced family medicine 1954-1996. |

He served in RCAF Moncton for #8 Service Flying Training School for Navigator Training. He served in RCAF Mountain View for #6 B and G School. He served in RCAF Penfield Ridge for #2 ANS.
