Biography
After his naval service he followed an extensive career in business management and hands-on product development since his graduation from the University of Toronto Law School in 1963. He lost his eyesight at the age of 35 but continued a career in research & development and in public service. He has served on the board of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) national library and was the past president of PAL, a service organization for the blind. Involved since 1960 in the design and production of machinery and components for the international bedding and furniture industry. In 1977 he purchased the film rights to A Shining Furrow, subsequently released as Circle of Two, a feature film starring Tatum O'Neal and Richard Burton, directed by Jules Dassin. He sold a screenplay to Film Consortium of Canada, for cash, a percentage of profits and credit as executive producer. He was also involved in writing and lecturing in geological and evolutionary science. He was the co-editor with Clark Whelton of Catastrophism 2000, the proceedings of conference "Reconsidering Velikovsky", held August 17-19, 1990 at the University of Toronto. He has also proposed his "mirrored dome" theory, which has similarities to Isaac Vail's "reflective canopy" model as an explanation of earlier catastrophic scenarios.
