His next-of-kin, was his mother, Mrs. Ann Bentley, 16 Denton Street, Liverpool, England.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Leading Seaman RNCVR. He served in HMCS Galiano 1918. (He was lost in HMCS Galiano in a storm off Vancouver Island BC 30/10/1918).
