Military Service

He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RN. He was appointed as a Petty Officer RN. (CFR. Royal Navy Upper Yardman's College H.M.S. Hawke) 1946. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RN (With seniority dated 01/05/1946). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RN (With seniority dated 01/05/1946). (Transferred to RCN). He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1948). He served in HMCS Nootka 1947. He served in H.M.S. Excellent for RN Long Gunnery Course 1951. He served in HMCS Iroquois. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1956). He served in HMCS Cornwallis as First Lieutenant-Commander 1957. (He was released.)
