Biography
After his naval service he was a Technical Services Officer for the Province of Nova Scotia 1969-83.

He was appointed as an Officer Cadet at the Royal Military College of Canada. He was appointed as a Naval Cadet RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1941). He served in Royal Naval College Dartmouth (Special Entry RCN No. 55) 1941. He was appointed as a Midshipman (E) RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1942). He served with the Royal Navy for Training (RNEC Keysham) 1942. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (E) RCN. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (E) RCN. He was appointed as a A/Lieutenant (E) (A/E) RCN (With seniority dated 01/02/1945). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (E) (A/E) RCN (With seniority dated 01/02/1945). He served in RCAF Trenton 1947. He served in RCN Barracks Halifax for RCN Air Section (Dartmouth) for Duty in No.1 Training Air Group 1948. He served in NDHQ for Staff of Chief of Naval Personnel 1950. He served in HMCS Magnificent 1951. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (E) (A/E) RCN (With seniority dated 01/02/1953). He served in HMCS Iroquois as Engineer Officer (Korean War service) 1953. He served in NDHQ for Staff of Chief of Naval Personnel 1954. He served in HMCS Shearwater as Senior Air Engineer 1956. He served in HMCS Shearwater as Officer-in-Charge School of Aircraft Maintenance 1958. He served in HMCS Niagara on Naval Staff 1960. He served in NDHQ on the Staff of Directorate of Flight Safety 1962. (He was retired 29/08/1962). (He survived a mid-air collision at Halifax in 1949 with Marshall Stewart, who was killed.)
