Biography
In 1946 he worked for German and Milne in Montréal PQ. After retirement he earned a PhD and became an Adjunct Professor at the Queen's University School of Public Administration and was Chief Administrator of Kingston Hospital Services, Kingston ON.
 
Military Service
He served with the Royal Corps of Naval Constructors 1940-46 with H.M.S. Rodney in 1941. Later he served in Admiralty Technical Mission in Washington. (He was demobilized 1946). (Transferred to RCNR). He was appointed as Constructor Lieutenant RCN. He was appointed as Constructor Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R) (With seniority dated 25/01/1950). He served in HMCS Donnacona 1950. He served in NHQ on Staff of Naval Constructor-in-Chief 1953, (RCN Short Service Appointment) 1953. He was appointed as Constructor Commander (SSA) (With seniority dated 01/01/1953). (Selected for permanent commission) 1955. He served in HMCS Stadacona on Staff of Commodore Superintendent Atlantic Coast as Manager Constructive Department 1955. He was appointed as A/Constructor Captain RCN 1956. He served as Principal Naval Overseer Montreal Area 1956. He served in NHQ as Assistant Engineer-in-Chief 1958. He was appointed as Constructor Captain RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1957). He served in NDHQ as Principal Naval Overseer Montreal and as Deputy Director of Nuclear Submarine Survey Team 1958, National Defence College of Canada Survey Team 1959. He served in NHQ as Deputy Naval Constructor-in-Chief 1960. He served in NHQ as Director General (Ships) 1961. He was appointed as Commodore RCN (With seniority dated 10/03/1962). He served in NDHQ as Assistant Deputy Chief Engineering 1965. He served in NDHQ as Assistant Chief of Engineering 1967. He was appointed as Rear-Admiral (CF) (With seniority dated 05/01/1970). He served as Commandant National Defence College of Canada 1969-74. (He was retired.)
