He was elected as the Vice-President of the Maritime Museum of British Columbia in 1958.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Electrical Lieutenant (Temp.) RNVR 1939. He was appointed as a Electrical Lieutenant-Commander (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 30/09/1941). (Transferred to RCNVR 05/07/1943). He was appointed as a Electrical Lieutenant-Commander (Temp.) RCNVR (Appointed 31/03/1943) (With seniority back-dated 30/09/1941). He served in HMCS Niobe. He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCN Barracks as Officer-in-Charge Electrical Section Torpedo School Halifax 1943. He was appointed as an A/Electrical Commander (Temp.) RCNVR, (Transferred to RCN) (With seniority dated 05/07/1943). He served in NSHQ as Director Electrical Personnel 1945. He was appointed as a Electrical Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1946). He served in HMCS Ontario as Senior Electrical Officer 1948. He served in HMCS Stadacona On Staff (Electrical Branch) of Flag Officer Atlantic Coast as Command Electrical Officer Halifax and Officer-in-Charge Electrical School 1950. He served as the Principal Naval Overseer HMCS Sorel 1952. He was appointed as Captain (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1953). He served in NHQ as Assistant Chief Naval Technical Services (Ships) 1954. He served on the National Defence College of Canada (Course 11) 1957. He was appointed as Commodore (L) RCN (With seniority dated 11/08/1958). He served as the Commodore Superintendent Pacific Coast and Superintendent HMC Dockyard (Esquimalt) 1958. He served in HMCS Bytown on Staff of Chief of Naval Technical Services as Deputy Chief of Naval Technical Services 1961. (He was retired 04/12/1965.)
