He was living in Saskatoon SK at the time of his recruitment. He received the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal, Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal, Century Saskatoon Medal.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1962. He served in HMCS Unicorn for UNTD 1962-1963. He served in HMCS Cornwallis for Training 1963. He served in HMCS Victoriaville for Sea Training 1963. (He was released.)
