Biography
He was a commercial fisherman in BC before World War Two. After his naval service he worked with BC Ferries. On 04/07/1963 he made the inaugural run of the BC Ferry Queen of the Islands.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Coxswain (Fishermen's Reserve Section) RCNR (With seniority dated 13/01/1942). He served in HMCS Givenchy (II) for HMCS Departure Bay 1942. He was appointed as a Skipper (Temp.) RCNR (With seniority dated 27/07/1943). He served in HMCS Meander. He was appointed as a Skipper Coxswain (Fishermen's Reserve Section) RCNR (With seniority dated 29/07/1943). (He was demobilized.)
