He was appointed as a Coxswain (Fishermen's Reserve Section) RCNR (With seniority dated 15/10/1942). He served in HMCS Signal. He was appointed as a Skipper (Temp.) RCNR 1942. (Transferred to RCNVR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 10/02/1944). He served in HMCS Tordo. (He was demobilized.)
