Biography
He was the President of the Naval Reserve Consulting Group in 1956. He was the Chairman of the Conference of Defence Associations in 1962. He was awarded the Admiral's Medal for 1985. He was a Governor of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires (Eastern Canada) 1951-1990. He was the President National Council Navy League of Canada 1976-1978. (He was qualified for signals, gunnery and with a Watchkeeping Certificate)

He was appointed as a Midshipman RCNVR (With seniority dated 19/08/1936). He joined the Toronto Division RCNVR 1936. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCNVR (With seniority dated 19/06/1937).
