Biography
Following his naval service he worked as an Auditor with the Federal Government.

He served as an officer in the Cadet Instructors List. (Transferred to CF 1971). He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (With seniority dated 01/08/1971). He served at UNB Saint John for ROTP 1971. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (With seniority dated 01/05/1975). He served in CFB Edmonton as Non-Public Funds Accounting Officer and later as Pay Administration Officer 1975. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (N) (With seniority dated 01/05/1978). He served in NDHQ on Staff of Director General Financial Administration 1978. He served in Athabascan as Deputy Supply Officer 1980. He served in HMCS Nipigon as Supply Officer 1981. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (With seniority dated 01/05/1982). He served in HMCS Athabaskan as Supply Officer 1982. He served in CFB Toronto for Canadian Forces Staff College Course 1985. He was appointed as a Commander (With seniority dated 01/06/1986). He served in NDHQ in Directorate of Costing Services and Costing Standards as Systems Section Head 1986. He served in NDHQ in Central Computation Pay System Mark III as Project Director 1987. He served in NDHQ as Director General Financial Services 1994. He was appointed as a Rear-Admiral (CF) (With seniority dated 16/08/1996). He was appointed as a Vice-Admiral (CF) (With seniority dated 01/01/2000). He was seconded to the Conference board of Canada 2002. In 2004 he was was appointed Assistant Deputy Minister (Human Resources Military) at National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa ON. (He was retired in 2006.)
