She was a graduate of the University of Western Ontario.
 
Military Service
She was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (MED) 26/09/1975. She was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (MED). She was appointed as a Lieutenant (N) (MED). She served in HMCS Cormorant as Medical Officer. She was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (MED). She was appointed as a Commander (MED). She served in Bahrain during the Persian Gulf Conflict 1990. She was appointed as Captain (N) (MED) (Promoted 01/01/1998). She served as Assistant Chief of Staff Health Service Delivery, Canadian Forces Medical Group 1999. She was promoted to Commodore (MED) (Promoted 07/04/2005). She was appointed as Deputy Commander Canadian Forces Health Services Group and Director General Health Services 2005. (She was retired in 2007). (She was qualified as a Ship’s Diver)
