Biography
When he retired from the RCN he was assigned by the Roman Catholic Church to the Sacred Heart Parish at Johnstown NS. (He retired again in 1971.)

(He joined the RCN 00/10/1940.) He was appointed as a Chaplain Class I (RC) RCN (With seniority dated 28/05/1941). He served in HMCS Protector 1941. He served in HMCS Cornwallis as Chaplain (RC) 1943. He was appointed as a Chaplain Class II RCN (With seniority dated 22/07/1944). He served in HMCS Stadacona as Command Chaplain (RC) 1946. He was appointed as a Chaplain Class I RCNR (With seniority dated 1/04/1946). He served in HMCS Uganda as Chaplain RC 1946. He served in HMCS Ontario as Chaplain (RC) 1947. He was appointed as a Chaplain Class IV (RC) RCNR (With seniority backdated to 01/04/1946). He served in HMCS Malahat 1947. He was appointed as a Chaplain Class IV (RC) RCN (With seniority dated 1/05/1946). He served in HMCS Ontario as Chaplain Class IV 1949. He served in HMCS Cornwallis as Chaplain Class IV 1952.
