Biography
He grew up in Montreal PQ. After his naval service he was the Director General (Revenue) in the Organizing Committee for the XXIst Olympiade (Montréal) 1974. He was president of the Defence Associations National Network.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Officer Cadet 1935. He served in the Royal Military College of Canada 1935. He was appointed as a Naval Cadet RCN serving in H.M.S. Erebus for Training (Special Entry No. 43) 1937. In 1938 he served in HMS Vindictive. He was appointed as a Midshipman RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1938). He served in H.M.S. Royal Sovereign and H.M.S. Berwick for training. He was appointed as a A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1939). He was in action off of Norway, served as the platoon leader of an anti-invasion force in Portsmouth UK, served as First Lieutenant to a small Dutch vessel in the evacuation of the British Army from France and was prize-skipper of a small French tug. He participated in convincing the men of the French battleship Courbet to fight with the Free French forces. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1940). He served in HMCS Saguenay in 1940. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/03/1941). He was qualified as a signals officer at a course in the UK. He served as Flotilla Signals Officer in the 4th RN Destroyer Flotilla for the Landings in Sicily in 1942. He was appointed as a A/Lieutenant-Commander RCN 1945.
