Biography
He was qualified by the Institute of Electrical Engineers. After earning an engineering degree at the University of Ottawa, he worked for the university’s engineering department until his second retirement in 1989. After his work service he retired to the USA.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RN 1939 by competitive examination. He served in New Entry Training 1939. He was appointed as a Artificer Apprentice RN 1939. (CFR. Royal Navy Upper Yardman College H.M.S. Hawke 1948/1949). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (L) RN (With seniority dated 01/05/1949). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (L) RN (With seniority dated 01/05/1949). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (L) RN (With seniority dated 01/12/1949). He served in H.M.S. Daedalus for RNAS Lee-on-Solent 1950. (Transferred to RCN 1952). He was qualified for air electrical engineering duties.) He was appointed as a Lieutenant (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/12/1949). In 1952 he served in HMCS Niobe. In 1952 he served in HMCS Bytown for NDHQ on Staff of Electrical Engineer-in-Chief. He served in HMCS Stadacona on Electrical School Staff 1953. He served in HMCS Shearwater for Duty With VF-870 Squadron as Air Electrical Officer 1955. In 1957 he served in HMCS Bonaventure for VF-870 as Air Electrical Officer. In 1957 she served in HMCS Shearwater for VF-870 as Air Electrical Officer. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/12/1957). In 1959 he served in HMCS Stadacona on Staff of Superintendent HMC Dockyard for HMCS Huron. He served in HMCS Huron as Electrical Officer 1958. He served in HMCS Shearwater as Deputy Electrical Officer 1959. He served in NHQ for Director of Naval Intelligence Staff 1960. In 1965 he served in Canadian Forces HQ on staff of Director General Intelligence. (He was released 1970.)
