Biography
He won the Atlantic Command golf championship in 1952, 1953 and 1955. He was an accomplished jazz muscician and played the Double Bass.

He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RCN (With seniority dated 31/07/1939). He served in HMCS Stadacona for Torpedo Coxswains Course 1941. He served in HMCS Napanee as Coxswain 1941. (CFR). He served in the Royal Navy Upper Yardmen's College 1943. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1944). He served in H.M.S. Excellent for Training 1944. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1944). He served in HMCS Stadacona. He served in HMCS Niobe. He served in H.M.S. Arethusa. He served in H.M.S. Osprey. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/06/1944). He served in HMCS Naden. He served in HMCS Antigonish as Executive Officer 1947. He served in HMCS Stadacona as Officer-in-Charge of the P and RT School 1951-53. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/06/1952). He served in HMCS Cornwallis. He served in HMCS Magnificent as P. and R.T. Officer 1954. He served in HMCS Malahat. He served in HMCS Venture (Officer Training Establishment) as P and RT Officer 1958. In 1958 he served in HMCS Malahat as School Relations Officer Alberta and British Columbia. He served in HMCS Hochelaga as Executive Officer. (He was retired 31/03/1965). (He was qualified for duties as a PT and W Officer.)
