Biography
(He was qualified as a Master Mariner). In 1939 he owned the seiner Allaverdy that was chartered to the RCN Fishermen's Reserve for wartime service. In 1945 she was returned to him and he received a payout in lieu of repairs. In 1948 he sold her to J.H. Todd & Sons Ltd., Victoria BC.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 14/09/1939 later backdated to 1938). He served in HMCS Battleford (In command) 1941. He served in HMCS Burrard. In 1943 he served in HMCS Chatham. He served in HMCS Bellechasse (In command). He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant-Commander (Temp.) RCN(R) 1944. In 1944 he served in HMCS Moncton (In command). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (Temp.) RCN(R). (He was demobilized 05/03/1945.)
