Biography
After his First World War service he was an Engineer in Hamilton ON.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Midshipman RN in ocean transports during the First World War. (He was demobilized.) He joined the RCNVR in 1937. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant RCNVR 1937. In 1937 he joined the Hamiliton Half Company RCNVR. (Mobilized for Second World War Service). He served on Duty With Chief Examination Officer Sydney NS 1939. He was appointed as an Electrical Lieutenant-Commander (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/05/1940). He served in HMCS Stadacona for Electrical Duties 1940. He served in HMC Dockyard Halifax as Manager of Electrical Engineering 1942. He was appointed as a Electrical Commander (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/01/1944). He served in HMCS Scotian 1944,(Transferred to RCN). He was appointed as an Electrical Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1944). He served in HMCS Scotian on Staff of Commodore Superintendent Halifax for Duty as Manager Electrical Engineering. (Transferred to RCN 1945). He was appointed as a Commander (L) RCN 1945 (With seniority dated 01/01/1944). He served in HMC Dockyard Halifax as Manager Electrical Engineering 1946. He was appointed as an A/Captain (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1947. He was appointed as a Captain (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1948). He served in NHQ for Electrical Engineering Division as Electrical Engineer-in-Chief 1948. He was appointed as a Commodore (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/07/1953). He served in NHQ. (He was retired 07/07/1957.)
