Biography
After his naval service he worked in Ottawa as the Director of Ships for the Canada Department of Fisheries. He retired again.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RCN (CFR). He served in the Royal Navy Upper Yardmen's College H.M.S. Hawke 1943, He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN 1943. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1944). He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1944.) In 1944 he served on-loan to RN in HMS Newcastle (4th Cruiser Squadron). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (TAS) RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1952). He served in HMCS Cayuga 1951-52 (Korean War Service). He served in HMCS Sioux (In command) 1953. He served in HMCS Niagara. He was appointed as a Commander (TAS) RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1957). He served in the Royal Navy for Joint Services Staff Course (Latimer UK) 1957. He served in NHQ on Staff of Directorate of Undersea Warfare in Systems Planning Section 1958. He served in HMCS Athabaskan (II) (In command) 1959. He served in HMCS Nipigon (II) (In command) 1964. He was appointed as a A/Captain RCN (With seniority dated 02/07/1966). He served as Military Attache to the Canadian Embassy at the Hague 1966. He was appointed as a Captain (N) (MARS) (CF) (With seniority dated 01/08/1969). (He was retired 26/05/1970.)
