He served as a student at Queen’s University Kingston Military Medical Training Plan 1973. He served in CFB Kingston for Medical Internship 1977. He served in HMCS Provider as Medical Officer 1978. Lieutenant-Commander (With seniority dated 12/1979). He served in NDHQ Surgeon-General as Coordinator Life Quality Improvement Programme 1980. He served in No. 2 Field Ambulance Petawawa as Deputy Commanding Officer 1985. He was appointed as a Surgeon Commander (With seniority dated 08/1986).
